Your dentist is your first line of defence against oral cancer
We perform visual soft tissue examinations, checking the most common cancer zones — the floor of your mouth, under your tongue, and your soft palette.
We also perform a comprehensive head and neck exam, looking for any usual lumps or bumps that could signify a problem. If we see an area of concern, we will then take a biopsy. A biopsy is when the dentist will remove a small part of the tissue from the problem area, and examine it under a microscope to discover the presence, cause, or extent of a disease.
If you are worried that you may have oral cancer, call us today for an examination.
